Manchester United are set to appoint Ruben Amorim as their next manager.

Sporting Lisbon have confirmed Man United have decided to trigger the €10m exit clause.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Amorim has already agreed on the personal terms of his move to Old Trafford.

He tweeted: “Manchester United are set to pay €10m exit clause for Rúben Amorim to become new manager, here we go!

“Sporting confirm formal communication received from MUFC for Amorim to be appointed.

“Amorim has already said yes to Man Utd proposal and project.”

Amorim leaves Sporting after a four-and-a-half-year spell at the club, winning two league titles and two Portuguese cups.
